Snowflakes

Post by GypsyRR »

My trip to the snow last week left me wondering about the science of snow. So I've been doing some research and I found this really neat site that you guys could show your kids or grandkids during the holiday and keep them entertained for a while.

If you follow the directions you will be able to see the snowflakes in 3D and have fun watching your kids/grandkids cross their eyes. Here is the site:

Ah, the joys of crystalline structures and solid state physics! Takes me back to school.

Oh yess! Stereoscopic images. I learned how to do that real fast back in my day in the Air Force. All the recon photos were stereo so we could tell height relationships better. Of course there was a "viewer", but if you look at them enough, your eyes are always "crossed". Between that and the rubber cement inside the vault, there's no wonder I'm the way I am today.

The mind is a terrible thing to lose.

Nice snowflakes...but I'd rather see them floating down en mass on Christmas eve...outside.
