R1100R vs r1100RT...what's the difference mechanically?

Anyone know what the difference is between these two engines and their transmissions?

Not a technical answer (which will show in due course) but basically the Roadster is tuned for torque down low and the RT is tuned for power up higher in the cruising range. I think it's a slight difference in the cam.

Appears that the RT has more horsepower : 90 vs 80 but that may wash out due to weight differences.

Interesting. The reason I ask is due to my previous thread about a gear indicator. I have read that the R1100RT does have a gear indicator. If the only difference between the two is horsepower...hmm...

Fitting RT cams and inlet manifold is a known route to more power.
