Alright, I'm a little confused to say the least. I have an 04 Rockster that states it's a dual or twin spark. The plugs I have in there are the NGK BKR7EKC-N's, it has two electrodes. Is this what they are refering to about the dual or twin spark?
Also;
There was a parts list on here that I cannot find that gave you cross references for replacement parts and I'm going blinky trying to find the thread ( I should have printed it, I know ) can anyone help with that?
The other spark is on the bottom of the cylinder behind the metal cover. You'll have to remove the 2 allen screws to remove it. I ordered NGKs from from my local auto parts store.
Gentlemen, even though I don't have a dual spark, I believe that the upper and lower plugs are different. I need someone to keep me on the straight and narrow, am I right or wrong.

I had BOSCH YR6LDE in my bike for the seconary. They are rather fouled up. I have been trying to find them or an equivalent for them in a 50 mile radius and am not having any luck. I'll have to buy from the dealer and have them shipped it appears. The NGK's on the primary are available at sparkplugs.com. Now to find the gap's. Thanks folks. I'll get this licked yet!!
My NGK Motorcycle Applications 2007 catalogue gives gaps for all four plugs as 0.8mm (32 thou.).
My '04 has always run roughly at low speeds, and occasionally loses one cylinder momentarily under accelleration (hot or cold), which is worrying as well as embarrassing. I checked one side's lower baby plug, (the left one - it gets those occasional oil-baths when left parked on the prop-stand - see the smoke?) just before a ride last week, and it looked darker than the main ones, but I haven't bothered to check the other yet. I shall tryout a pair of the hotter "8" ones as recommended by mitchxout - Thanks for the tip.
I've had the bike for nine months now, done only about 4K, and am generally delighted with it, with the main exception being the handlebar switches. Obviously, designed by someone with a hammer thumb, or no thumb, but five parallel fingers, they seem to defy me to hit the horn button better than one time in three times. As consolation, at least two times out of three, the left-hand signal is activated. This is just great if you're trying to alert someone emerging from a sideroad on the left to your presence - they might assume you're turning in (we drive on the left here) and start moving out into your path.
The Rockster's a true hooligan bike for an old geezer like me, and sits in a sort of no-mans land in the eyes of many bike snobs - it's a BMW to sportsbike riders, and an abomination to many BMW riders, and that suits me down to the ground. It reminds me of an old Bee-Em ad-line: "Scene, not Herd", but not, in this instance, quite as they might have intended. It does impress quite a few of the fast boys when I can keep up with them so easily on twisty roads.
I'm off now to spray a liberal coating of ACF50 onto it's sensitive bits before tomorrows chilly ride. The authorities hereabouts are keen to sprinkle our roads with great layers of salt with special sticky additives, and it seems to do a fine job of attracting moisture from the air, giving wet / slimy road surfaces on the dryest of nights. Lovely.
Safe riding,
P McD.
The sooner I get behind, the more time I'll have to catch up.
