i rode to spc yesterday to obtain a price for a replacement front mudguard. when i arived there was a van there emptying out the last vestiges of the showroom - they've gone into liquidation (i was told).
so now my nearest dealer is over 50 miles away.
they're to auction off their held stock and workshop tools etc. in about a fortnight (said the bandit 1200 owning van loader) and he gave me the web link csauctions.com but this is not correct - it's an american site. any more details anyone?

What price my guarantee now...I suppose its underwritten by big brother so it should be OK
Some others thought otherwise.
I know they'd been in trouble and were under new ownership - but I thought they were going to continue, obviously not.
what was it do you know? a simple lack of sales? i read in this months bike magazine that there's big discounts to be had on the k1200r - so they reasoned that as bmw don't generally do deals it must be a slow mover. seems like too much coincidence to be unrelated.
there was a printed a4 sheet in the window stating that it was under new ownership and would open again soon but the van loading guy was definate that it was not to re-open.
