Question: What is that game called...

Where you ride your motorcycle around to different points finding clues and directions to the next point in a prearranged and set-up course?

Orienteering comes to mind, but that doesn't use motorcycles. Something like that. I saw a link some time back from a guest who was organizing such a ride challenge, but now I find nothing.

Years back, when I was a member of a university based motorcycle club, we used to have such a rally.
The clues were always a mixture of cryptic and obvious...to enable most people to at least complete the course.
You might also be asked to collect stuff along the way.
All contestants received an emergency envelope at the beginning of the rally, which included the otherwise unknown destination.
If the envelope was opened they were disqualified from winning.

It was called "The Jack Doff" rally and was an annual event.

It was called Jack Doff because that was how contestants usually felt by the end of it! It was great fun however.

Good idea for a reality show. I think it's been done, but not with motorcycles - good idea!

Brian! You da man! That's it! I read that some time back and now I have become interested in this geocaching game and wondered if that old post utilizing bird houses on trees was the same thing. It is.

I registered at that geocaching.com site that Herb posted above and today stopped off after work to try and locate a couple of simple ones close by here where I live. Not much luck! I need more practice. But it's a thrill looking for the treasure and trying to look non-chalant to passers-by. Ha!

That motorcycle geocaching tour sounds like a good idea for our club here in GA as well.
