Brian,

Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Beautiful photos! One of these days, I'll have to check out the Going to the Sun Highway. Was there many years ago but not on a bike.

Have a safe journey and keep the photos coming!

I leave on a trip to Banff from Fort Collins, Colorado, via Laramie, WY, Cody, WY, the Beartooth Hwy, Butte, MT and Columbia Falls, MT, Aug. 26 so your photos are a great preview for me, as if I needed to get any more excited about a trip. :D Those clouds are a reminder that I will need to make sure I've got my rain and warm gear !!

Thanks, for posting. Keep 'em coming.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the great feedback. The trip is a little over half over, but I'm already dreading the end. I should have internet access for the next day or two, so updates should be pretty regular.

Munchmeister: rain gear and warm stuff is highly recommended. It was hard for me to pack this stuff, as it has been so hot and humid on the east coast recently. But the mesh pants and gloves have been awfully chilly and I've very glad I wore the full-leather Vanson jacket. I broke down and bought a pair of deerskin gloves for general riding cause the mesh was just too chilly.

Cheers,

Brian

Brian: thanks for that reminder. That is just how I feel as I pack in 90 degree weather but your words will remind me to take the warm gear. Have a safe trip home.

Nice travel-log. Love the way apple does this :) Just finished part a ride in parts that you travelled. Beautiful country. Will post when I get a chance.
