Yes, I've seen people wearing their helmets backwards like that . . . but it was done in fun or to protest the helmet laws. In her case . . . . . . . .

That's my plan always. No matter how HOT it is or how SHORT the trip is. Any time I see riders w/o gloves, in shorts and no helmet (!!!) I know they've never been in an accident. Amazingly those choices often go hand-in-hand with little experience and novice level skills.
After 40 years of riding with 5 semi-bad accidents, I learned very early that riding without protection can permannently hurt you. Stupid hurts.
