To those that order stuff from the US, but pick it up there
...If your ordering parts from the US and you go to a US border town to pick it up, is it really worth the savings in duty to do that?

You will be charged the same taxes and duty when you drive back across the border that you would be charged if you had the stuff shipped to you. By the time you figure out time, bridge tolls, gas etc, you're further ahead to get the stuff shipped. Just specify USPS instead of any of the courier companies so you don't get hit with the bogus "brokerage" fee.

True, but I plan to spend the weekend in the States so I will be well within my limits which I believe is $200 for a 48hour period. Though I'll check that, but I'm not too concearned.
