Question to MotoGP viewers outside the USA

Hello everyone,

I have a question for all those MotoGP viewers outside the USA. In your respective countires, does the channel that telecasts the races show all the races (125, 250 and MotoGP) on the same day or do they split them up over a couple of days.

Here in the USA, Speed Channel telecasts the races. We typically get the MotoGP race and 250 race on the same day via tape delay except for the Laguna Seca round. We then get the 125s sometimes a week or two later.

One more question: Does anyone record the races and then save them to DVD? I Tivo my races and just start saving them to the DVD recorder. I am missing one or two races from the beginning of this season. If anyone is recording them, shoot me a PM and I can hit you with a list of what I need. I would be willing to pay for the recording material, shipping and a little something for your efforts. Thanks everyone!

Here in the UK, the BBC covers the MotoGP. If you only have 'normal' TV (i.e. not satelite, cable, or digital reception), then you only get to see the main event - the MotoGP coverage on Sunday. But if you have any of the other types of reception, then you can see qualifying on the Saturday, and some of the other races too. Not too sure which ones though, as I live in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, and can only get standard terrestrial signals, hence just the MotoGP.

And no, sorry I don't record them.

I watch them all on Eurosport via satellite. We get all the races live but I haven't kept any so can't help out.

Down under we get them all...on normal free to air TV we get them once the race is over and on pay TV (cable and satellite) we get it live.

Todays Moto Gp was a classic with a huge first corner crash that takes out half the field...it's a very nasty one...and many big names off to hospital.

If you've not seen it yet..watch out for the two red bikes about mid field come together while braking for the first corner..

The free to air channel could edit out the two long waits and re starts..and live you get to see everything that happened during the wait...sorry I don't record them and don't know anyone who does.

How the hell did Gibernau only have light concussion after that faceplant at 150mph? What a helmet! Apparently Melandri has a separated shoulder. I feel for him, did that to myself after a big off trail riding three years back. Still hurts.

Chris...I think their injuries are much worse than that....btw...Sete's ambulance had a crash with a truck on the way to the hospital..unlucky or what.

re the shoulder thing..I know what you mean.

I did mine in a Mt bike race once..and got taken down the mountain in a 4x4 ambulance to the hospital to get fixed up..boy that was a bumpy ride.

Gibbers has a busted collarbone which is better than a dislocated one. They have to remove his original plate and put a bigger one on but he could possibly ride at Assen Saturday. I reckon Melandri will be out longer with the AC separation but looks like Capirossi will ride as well. That Dr Costa is one hell of a quack.
