I'm breaking in a new Mac tonight (12" PB). Where's the oil sight glass?

Last generation Powerbook 12"....wireless, 4.5 lbs, slow and not a multi-tasker w/ only 512 RAM but a peachy little bugger. Plan to carry it on the Boise trip and do nightly photo/e-mail/board updates.

Now about that oil level...

John,

I am a slow adopter. This is an older Powerbook/Mac OS X machine.

My Windows 98 SE2 Edition network operated from 1997-98 until I finally upgraded in 2004. At that time I started switching machines over to Mac OS X: Desktop server, laptop (17" PB), video/audio/game console (Mac mini) and now this little carry-all. My company does the buying and I do the Network Administration myself. Something I could never keep together with the Windows world.

The newest MacBooks (Pro and vanilla) are the IntelMacs, but this older Powerbook has the stuff I need.

Crap my now 4yr old desktop only has 256. I ususally have a couple IM programs, 2-3 windows (XP SP2 IE6) going and even had Napster going on top of that. Wont lie to you, it bogs down and restarts randomly due to memory constraints. Downloaded one of those RAM optimizers, followed by running every adware/spyware/virus/botware/etc program I had, to keep things running smoother and just so I know where the system is at. Seems to work most of the time. Memeory is so freaking cheap. I just need to either open the back and figure how to drop it in or just suck it up and take it into the shop. Like to get it up to a gig if I have room in there for it, then I could play flight simulator w/o the flippin thing crashing (the computer not the plane) every 10 minutes. GRRRRRRRRRRR
Life is too short to use cheap toilet paper :D
