Bash East III-Marietta, Ohio a Swinging Town

Post by MikeCam »

Before too many rumors, inuendo, and mis-statements get started, here is a non-riding story from the Bash.

Friday evening, Marietta Brewing Co., talking to a guy at the bar about the Detroit-Cleveland game (6). Some good looking brunette starts to get ornery and friendly and SUGGESTIVE with me. I point out her wedding ring. She points out her husband! It was a swingers pair with me as the latest addition! NOT.

Saturday afternoon, Lafayette Hotel Lounge, talking to a guy about the Preakness when he puts his hand on my thigh, gives me a squeeze, and brings his wife over to meet me. Let's all be friendly! Not.

I lived a full and (I thought) complete life, but this was all new to me! A chapter added to the book- Marietta, Ohio - a swingers town!

At least the teachers were all women.

Vann is in charge of rumors; Brian is in charge of inuendo.

I manage mis-statements fine by myself!

Michael will correct my mis-statements on this one.

Standing outside MacDonalds in Amherst, VA about 4 pm Sunday. Taking off the gear in prep for a helping of Rest room and a side of cold beverages. Up walks a nice looking blonde girl of indeterminant age (20 something to 40 something) and starts talking to us about riding and where we are from; where we were going, when we left, how we got there, etc, etc. A pleasant bit of attention from a girl.

Up comes her friend, also friendly (and brunette). They are teachers from Baltimore (Balmer in the lingo) and had a weekend away from their husbands at Smith Mountain Lake. Heading home in a Suburban full of additional blondes, brunettes, and (a redhead?) and drinking all the way.

Would we want to convey with them up Rte 29?

Chat, chat, smile, smile.

Must have been Michael's charm and my snappy patter that got them interested!

The blond was chatty, but in a manner devoid of substance. The brunette was curvy, cute, and married. It might have been interesting to root around inside the Suburban for a while just to see who was there. Being well-educated teachers, I'm sure that they would appreciate a BMW rider who comes late and can read. Oh wait, I said that wrong - a BMW rider who arrives late, leaves early, and can read.

I married a teacher! But a suburban full of them might have been too many to handle.

What was different about you this weekend Mike? New cologne? You attracted lots of attention! Including some you didn't want! :P
