I have a question re. [another bike] site.

Over there I answered a question about changing over the inner part of a BMW system case for our RR.

Drilling out the handle/lock mechanism and changing it to a new full size left case..
and what else needs to be done to replace the rivets on the lid with little bolts etc.

I posted half a dozen pics with instructions.

I thought this info will be very handy for someone here if they're thinking about doing the same thing.

So....if this question comes up here I thought I could just post a link to my post with pics over there.

This sort of thing can be done on other sites...but apparently it can't be done here...is that true..and if so why not.

Should I have posted my answer to their question over here and posted a link to here for the answer?

Just wondering that's all.

Sometimes cross posting doesn't work between sites or between hosts. Let's see if this one lasts (worked when I tested it).

The problem with cross posting is that my 12 year old called me to show off the happytime on the other site.

I had to add the site to his blocking software manually.

Nothing wrong with having a X rated web site if that turns one on, but this site is not.
