Wiring help!!!!

Was wondering if anyone in cyberland could help me out I'm looking to hard wire my gps in. Deathly afraid of electrics. any advice will be appericated.

Rock, it's easy. If you're going to hardwire the GPS you simply need to tap in to a power source and run it up to your handlebars (or wherever the GPS will be located). You don't need to remove the tank or anything.

I wired in a GPS, XM, and a V1.

I got some great advice on this board about using an "Add-aCircuit" device which makes it extremely easy.

Here is a link to a question I had posted a while ago about wiring in my XM. These answers were very helpful, and the same advice applies to getting power to your GPS.

PS my office is in Florham Park, I try to take the bike whenever possible. I'll be happy to show you what I did on mine if you feel like taking a ride. We're at Campus Drive across the rear campus gate of the College of St Elizabeth. This week looks crappy; if it's decent next week I'll ride to work.

What GPS unit do you have and do you have the right mounting HW and /or mobile power supply?

I'm getting the Tom Tom rider the kit is supposed to be all inclusive so when it shows up I'll know what I'm dealing with.
