Last week I traded my 03 Piedmont Red R1150R off for a new R1200ST.
As much as I love the ST, I'm missing my R already. She was my first oilhead after 20 years on airheads. I loved my R and put alot of miles on her, and never took it easy.
I bought the ST because it was that bike, the one that the first time you see it, its love at first sight. I have put a few hundred thousand miles on RS's and they are my first love.
I hope you all won't toss me here, I feel we really do have an internet family of bikers, who share a number of common intrests outside of motorcycles.
If any of you ever get to Phoenix AZ, PM me, the first rounds on me.

I know how you feel when I first saw the ST my little heart skipped a beat and today I was faced with making a decission. I swapped bikes with my wife so I could see what my Motolights looked like to other drivers. I thought I was going to have to pry her from the seat when we stopped to switch back she really liked the Roadster and when we got home she said "hey if you wanted to trade my bike in on something else I would love to have yours". For a moment I seriousley thought about it but decided if she wants a Roadster she can have one but she is not getting mine. There is just something about my R that I just can't part with but I would still like to have an ST.
Yer wanted by the police and my wife thinks your dead.
ST
I love my Roadster and see nothing in the BMW line that would make me do something foolish financially. But I too spent a lot of miles on an airhead RS and the ST was a bike that made me think about it when I sat on it.
I was smart enough not to take a test ride!
