Please understand that warrenty is for all practical purposes funded like any insurance policy, any longer warrenty terms is another cost making up the total vehicle cost.

I talked to a rider at Newcomb's Ranch today that said he understood an HP version is coming out with 135 HP & 425lbs wet. Thats getting into respectable sport bike territory by anyone's standards.

Also said the R1200R is definate.

He works as a designer at Pasadena Art Center, one of the premier design centers in the world. Seemed to be up & up.

& he had a very nice silver R1150R with ohlins front & rear, full saintune system, chip, mini screen, a very sweet looking bike.

no misunderstanding here... just a casual observation of the difference in warranty terms between canada and the usa. (ie. 36mo./unlimited mileage vs 36mo./36K miles whichever comes first)

no doubt that here are pricing/usage differences between here and canada. i'd prefer the unlimited mileage option considering that i still have about 10 months of warranty term left on my roadster but have already run out on miles... if there's a premium attached to it, so be it.

Hmmm...R1200S HP - I CAN DIG IT!!!

I wonder if it would be painted in some sort of stupid and ghastly combo graphic paint job?

The optional ABS system is unique to this model, weighing in at just 3.3 lbs, and can be deactivated for track work.

That'll be a crowd pleaser around here!
