Rockster bars on Roadster

Ok, so I'm looking for a street fighter position. I ride aggressively and I would like to have more control and steering power. I consider switching to the Rockster bars.
First question: Are the Rockster bars actually wider?
Second question: Can I just switch the handle bars or should I need to get a new set of cables?

They are wider bars, from edge to edge about 84cm across.

You can change the roadster bars to rockster and have enough cable reach, but not the other way.

Well worth it especially if you like leaning a little more forward.
