WWII Nose Art

Post by JCsman »

I'm a sucker for WW II items, especially airplanes. Thought others might enjoy this site too.

Uhhh. They're just paintings, but, fair warning, these were by young men in combat. Some NSFW.

Bill -
Google up "nose art" and you'll get a ton of it!
I like it too and coincidently spent much of yesterday afternoon at work on those sights.
One of out artists at work is doing a murual this weekend in the replica 1934 motorcycle shop "set" we built inside our Biker's Choice show trailer and I was getting him some ideas for a retro-sexy-not-slutty-pinup-WWII nose art type babe.
I can't believe I get paid for this!

I've spent most of my life on motorcycles, the rest I've just wasted...

You can still see "Shoo Shoo Baby" at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum in Dayton OH. I recognized it as soon as I saw the picture but had to Google it to remind me of just where I knew it from...
