It's Fleet Week in San Francisco!!!

Today we had the qualifying round of the Red Bull Air Races. Here's a shot of the Hamilton Plane on approach to the pylons...

And here are, of course, the Blue Angels practicing before their the shows they'll do Saturday and Sunday.... I took this shot during a break in an SF Opera rehearsal. We're rehearsing "Norma" in a warehouse on the Presidio, located right on the bay near Crissy Field.

Dang, I love airplanes! And opera too. Do you sing, or play? I played trumpet in my mis-spent youth and now sing baritone with the Charleston Men's Chorus. What a hoot — makin' music with my friends.

Hey, I sing bass with the SF Opera chorus.... It's a nice union gig and making money singing is a wonderful thing... Glad you liked the pics! I love planes and I love taking pictures, so Fleet Week puts me in overdrive.
