The Melbourne Bike Expo (yes more pics)

Post by DJ Downunder »

Here's some bike pics from our local motorcycle show...the others posted was just kidding around.

It's amazing how many times I just came across these girls having their picture taken and I would just ask "Do you mind if I take one also" and they would always be more than happy to oblige.

It seems like that's what they're there for...there were some promo girls I got talking to and asked if I could get a pic...always 'sure'..'where do you want to do it'...I'm thinking (just a photo would be fine)

I would just ask a nearby stranger "here's my camera..do you mind taking my picture"...that was never a problem...I'll have to remember to change expression next time...I'm not a big fan of having my picture taken.

Anyway...there was some nice new and interesting bikes there...here's some of my pics.

DJ....thanks for everyones kind comments on my other bike show thread.

Here's my favorite bike at the show.

Image

Mmmm nice....the bike was nice too.

Image

Here's a close up of the semi-automatic shifter, rearsets and rear slidders.

Image

The new HP2 was there...I wish it had of been on the floor...I'd love to have a sit on it.

Image

Close up of the engine..that's the battery behind the airbox.

Image

The Honda stand have a few good things...including this concept bike...not new but still ahead of it's time...I hope Honda make it.

Check out this flash Goldwing.

Image

Yamaha had their MT-01...this one had mods...pipe and carbon bits...nice.

Image

This pic shows the little fan that..I think takes the heat away from the seat if the pipes get a little too hot.

Image

Suzuki had the new SV650...I know there's a few fans of this bike here.

Image

I'm not sure if I like the new MZ's...the naked bike had an interesting headlight.

Image

Image

Image

The new Sachs was interesting...that's almost a beak.

Image

With our high petrol prices these things might take off.

Image

Mmmm underseat exhaust.

Image

KTM had a nice Superduke with lotsa carbon.

Image

The new motard.

Image

I've always liked Huskies..this was nice.

Image

Kawasaki had their answer to the Rocket III

Image

Nice black Rune

Image

There were heaps of BIG bikes...you don't get much bigger than a V8

Image

Actually you can get bigger than a V8...geees wot a stretch...even for me.

I hope you guys enjoyed my pics

I'll have to agree with Bob.

I have had the good fortune to have ridden one of these, WFO at Bonneville. What a great year this has been.

DJ,

The pics are, as usual, great. I saw the MZs at Laguna Seca and I really liked the fully faired monster. It looks like the business, but there isn't a dealer within 500 miles of here. And the KTM super motard would make a retard out of me....

Not to long 'til the MotoGP hits down there...
