Wow what a cool device. I've been streaming music (MP3s) from my PC and playing it on my stereo system - very cool for parties where you want to DJ from a seperate room or setup a playlist and let it go. You can control the track that is playing and even the volume from your PC. All of this is done through iTunes (free at mac's site).

It also works as a wireless repeater, access point, or print server! It has either a miniplug or optical output (special cord required $20). Is there anything this thing cant do!?! It costs $130 (compusa is where I got it) which I think is very reasonable.

Doug,
You probably noticed the thread I started describing my new MacMini. It has the airport built right in. It is no gaming computer, but for $700 it packs a lot of really cool features.

I'm curious as to why you hate Mac.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

I thought about buying one a month or two ago, but I ended up with a Sony 100 CD changer as a gift/hand me down. It does not have the control capabilities of iTunes, but it works.

iTunes has been wonderful on my computer, and I have been able to back up all of my Grateful Dead bootleg tapes/CDs.

That transmitter is GREAT.

Most are battery powered and I dont think I have seen any others with other peripheral ports integrated.
