Newbie!

Post by andy dodd »

Hi all,

Just thought I would post to say hello as the newest member of the R1150R fraternity.

I have owned my R1150R for a couple of years now and decided it was time to join the forum.

My R1150R has undergone a few minor changes, mostly cosmetic and comfort. The most beneficial however was the fittment of a full Remus system, the performace improvment was amazing, not to mention bonus the imrpoved bonus fuel economy.

All in all a great bike, competent tourer, fun scratcher, capable commuter and all round fun bike with loads of character.

I owned a Harley 1200 Sportster before the R and recently I was asked if I would swap back again. In short the answer was a brief NO. The R has just as much character wiht a much higher level of overall competence.

So there we are, I might consider changing it for the R1200R when it comes out, but at present I just cant find anything else I like as much.

Wish it had been worth 5 mph less when I threw it through a hedge on a 180 degree hairpin in May of this year.

Still, taught me to read the road a little more carefully and remember that as good as an R1150R is (and it's very good) it aint no Sports bike!
