Radar detector

I wanted to hook my Radar up to my bike. The battery is a pain in the ass to reach so I youtubed a video of and they used a fuse tap for a car and I assumed it would work on the bike, but nothing. Any ideas?

I have my detector plugged into the powerlet outlet behind the starter. I don't want to wire it in, because then I can swap it into the car for long trips-It's cobra I-radar, that runs through an app on my Iphone.

dont see why just wiring in a fuse would hurt. there are unused terminals in your block.
