I agree with riceburner, if you ride in allot of rain you will be glad that you have the long fender even though it looks dorky! The holes??? most likely for HUGE lic plate! ha! I cut mine off but I ride mostly in the west (arid) usa.

My tail/fender remains uncut, with an inch of mudguard extended, despite the dorky-ness... I ride in the west (8 months of rain) USA.
For the best effect, take an old pair of jeans, cut a few inches below the pockets and pull the threads to get a nice denim "shag" going. Your choice of shirt and you're riding in style!!
I am using mine to fly my Superman logo, lol. Hey, off the subject a little, but where can we get those reflectors that are on both sides of the fender? I lost the right one, and it looks like they are just stuck on? I suppose I could just take the left one off so it won't look so goofy...
It says "My other ride is a STRYKER", with the Stryker profile.
I work for a defense contractor and my main function for 8 years was to manage final QA and delivery of Stryker vehicles to the US Army (4500 of them...)
The Stryker Program Colonel gave this to me (along with other swag!) as a way of saying thanks when the Program wound down.
He thought I should consider myself part of the Stryker family for ensuring that the highest Quality vehicles got to the boys in the service.
I used to have a BMW logo there until I cut it off. And I ride in the rain a lot. No stripes on my back but I'm told you shouldn't follow me too close in the rain!
'02 in black - the real BMW color! (Now gone to a new home)

The coolant recovery tank is mounted to the two holes. That is for the liquid cooled (antifreeze) R's. The rear mounted tank is to keep the weight perfectly balanced. If you guys have removed your tank you're asking for trouble.
