r1200r vibration

Post by zackvis »

hi all
Went for a ride in a pass with tight corners .this bike handles fantastic .I had to take it for a good run after doing a full service valves, oil, checked plugs ect.I noticed that the fibration on my hadle bars was much less after the service, the exh valves was only out by 0.03mm and inlet by 0.05 .yet it seems to make a big difference mmm. From now on ill be very carefull on valve clearances.
Changed to 15/50 motorex semi synt. after using yamaha lube 15/50 full synt.Oil use with yamaha oil was 700ml -7000km ,hope ill use less with motorex. just i'll share some info.
happy r1200r biker.best bike ever ,did i mention that before.??

I did my 6000mls service on my bike. The LHS intake (one of them vas .o3mm difference).Scince the increments of sferic half balls is 0.05 mill. I had have no choice to adjust the valve. It is in mid tolerance.Witch is ok.Basically whot I learnd on this 2011 and on boxers, you will never have to adjust valves. At least for a long-long time.I talked to my BMW mechanics(personal friend),and he said :in past 2 years I have to adjust 3valves(3 pcs not 3bikes).I absolutly beleive him.If you have valve lashes in tolerance after 10,000kms/6,000mls,they will remain in tolerance for a while.
