new member - can't wait for Spring

Post by Will »

Howdy - I was very happy to find this forum as new owner of a 2001 R1150R - my bike history is '70s Boxers, R75/5 being my last - so this is a big step up. My anticipation of Spring (in Vermont, where it tends to dawdle) is like an 8 year old on Christmas Eve. See you on the road.

Ditto from Minnesota where too long of a winter means too short of a riding season! I'm with you, can't wait to start riding again soon!

Thanks to Global Warming it's been a pretty mild winter in the Denver area this year. Normally I wouldn't be able to ride much at all from about mid-October until about late April / early May. But this winter I've been riding almost every week, at least once a week. Cold temps but not much snow so I've been able to get away with commuting to work many days when I normally wouldn't dream of it. Just have to bundle up for temps in the 20s and 30s in the mornings.

Meanwhile they had a foot of snow in Amarillo TX a few weeks ago while it's been bone dry in Denver most of the winter.

Weird weather is the norm these days.
