Replacing hazard warning switch on R1100R 1996 (Early Dash)

Post by clinares »

Could anybody help please.
I need to replace the Hazard warning Switch on the Dash. (Early grey coloured Dash)
(There are three switches) and can't figure out how to remove it for replacement. I don't know if the switch can be prised out or do I have to remove the top part of the Dash?

Any suggestions ? Thanks

There are tabs that snap the switches into place that have to be released. Here is a photos of the front and back of the dash panel. I have a few of these laying around...

right click and open the link in a new window.

You either have to cut the black part of the switch and pry it off the switch body from the top, or take the dash apart and release the tabs from the back. - If you have a new switch, and don't mind destroying the old one, the cut and pull method is the way to go... The dash removal is awkward and has these little plastic wedges, etc... PM me if you need more photos or instruction. I have plenty of dash parts too.
