Per your comments/questions about the Z8s and Z6s, I have not used them before. Going by what others have posted about them, it seems that they are similar to the PRs. Some people get great mileage/tread wear out of Zs and others out of the PRs. Some people report poor mileage/tread wear from the Zs and others from the PRs. The PRs do seem to be reviewed as excellent in wet weather. The Zs do well, too, but perhaps not as well as the PRs.
I had recently read about the Continentals that mimic dual-compound using a single-compound. The theory is that it should wear longer than actual dual-compound tires.
So far, I am quite happy with the PR3s, but time will tell how well they hold up and perform for me.
