Has anyone fitted this headset to a BMW System 6 helmet?
Where did you mount control unit? On the main part of helmet or the liftable front bit?
Is it possible to detach the microphone? Main use is satnav so phone connection not so important.
Any comments would be welcome...

Re: Scala Blue tooth headset / BMW system helmet?
The problem is that the ideal mounting position interferes with the slider for the internal sun visor so you have to mount the unit slightly further back. It goes on the main helmet and you need the kind of scala with the flexible mic boom rather than the cabled one.
Finally, it's very difficult to clamp the scala to the system helmet so we opted to use the (included) self adhesive base for my wife's system helmet. The helmet has 2 internal recesses very handily placed to receive the speakers. It is not possible to detach the microphone I'm afraid.
Lots of folk say it can't be installed on a system helmet but it can. It just takes a bit of patience and time to think it through.
Should have bought a Schuberth

Thanks Shakey, just what I thought. Probably not worth the hassle as I find I can use the TomTom quite well without voice info. Just glance at display, note how far next turn is and so on.
