Wunderlich has a vario screen out that they claim is good for sport and touring. It is not the sport vario. It can be adjusted 2" vertically and also angled. The concept looks intriguing, but I fear that while they claim it is dual purpose, like most things designed to be such, it will do both but, neither well.
I'm asking for revues from riders that have used or know of it. I can't find anything in search. Again, I'm not talking about the sport vario.
Thanks,
John

It all depends what do you need the screen for?JCL wrote:Wunderlich. It can be adjusted 2" vertically and also angled.

Short rides, touring, hot weather, cold weather... or just how much wind protection do you really need?
I have never tried Wunderlich screen on R1150 but I can tell you that BMW sport screen, BMW touring screen and NO screen
I like an AeroFlow screen on my R1150RA touring bike for long distance and BMW touring screen on my R1150R just for local and short rides.
Vario is a "VARIO"... a little bit of this and a little bit of that... with only 2 inches to play with
I was looking at the Wunderlich Vario screen for my F650CS but ended up buying Parabellum 23 inches tall.
Sometimes, while riding my F650CS, I wish I had an option to lower the screen (2-3 inches), just to get a little more breeze.
If you don't need and AeroFlow, Wunderlich Vario http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/motorc ... 10240.html is a good choice.
Good Luck.

Re: Wundrlich vario screen
Has anyone ever tried riding with the top portion removed, so more like a sport screen?
Re: Wundrlich vario screen
not sure if it's the same one. but I just got this mra screen last week that mounts on the bmw speedster hardware

i am 5'6" and the mra is perfect for me when the deflector is at the 2nd position from the highest. i've tried these screens before:
givi a750
cee bailey euro 19.5
parabellum 21"
bmw speedster
memphis hellcat
with the mra, the rr still maintain the naked bike riding style but with givi's wind protection. it's quieter than the speedster and still get enough fresh air on chest. no buffeting.
btw, i still got the givi, cee bailey, and parabellum. any interested? :D
cheers

Re: Wundrlich vario screen
I looked at the Vario screen but ended up buying the the Ztechnik that makes it for BMW. The price was comparable but also like the shape. I happen to be tall so I ended up ladding some rubber washers to push the screen a little straighter which helped me a lot. I since added the adjustable wing from Wunderlich but haven't had it on a serious trip as yet but I don't encounter any back pressure on my helmet. Really I think it's preference.
Re: Wundrlich vario screen
I'd an MRA screen which looks identical to that Wunderlich. Confusing.
Last year I fitted a little BMW sports screen- much quieter and just as protective for my style of riding.
