Hello and Welcome.
It looks like you are the first one from Lithuania.
25 years old and owns a 2004 R1150 BMW Motorcycle.
I have to say that I am impressed.
About 40 years ago, before your time, I did some traveling, on two wheels, in Lithuania,Latvia and Estonia.
Beautiful riding area and very impressive architecture in all 3 states.
At that time only elite group of people had an opportunity to own a motorcycle.
I guess now life is very different from what it was 40 years ago.
Congratulations and again.. WELCOME!

TicTac50 you must visit Lithuania in the future to compare what you saw then and how it is now. Everything is different now starting with government and ending with life style.
Before BMW I had Honda Hornet 919, 2007, but unfotunately crashed, because some guy didn't noticed me. Broken right leg in 4 places. But I never gave up
I went through all rehabilitation process, bought BMW and riding again after 1 year of pain. I buoght BMW from USA with mileage of 900 and after last summer it's 9200 miles, so I consider myself as an addicted Biker
I like traveling especially with motorbike, so last summer I went in Norway all the way to Tromso aslo Estonia, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Germany, a little bit of France and Denmark. This summer Istambul is in my plans, but not sure yet
I suggest everybody to visit Lithuania because where are a lot to see, good road(off road also) easy to find a place to stay, low prices and friendly people
http://www.biker.lt/index.php/klubai this link shows how many biker clubs are in Lithuania at the moment

Duccister24.
Thanks for the good suggestion. Last time I had a chance to revisit Baltic states, was in 1998.
We were traveling Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden and Finland).
While in Helsinki, there was a Ferry going to Tallinn.
I was impressed by number of bikes and cars going to Tallinn and the line to get on the Ferry was really BIG.
At that time the price, somehow I still remember, was $6.50 per person + the bike.
We just did not have enough time to take that Ferry, we also had concerns about returning back the same day and "VISA" was questionable too.
Ah... now I got me thinking.

Well I believe were are no "visa" now, because lot of my friends going in USA to work or study. Since Lithuania is the member of EU all EU citizens are free of visa and can travel inside the European Union countries and USA citizens are also able to get in EU with no visa or with a very simple way to get one.
Ferry Tallin-Helsinki is very popular even today
of course the price is different now and no more lines
Usually when I say that I'm from Lithuania everybody still thinks that we are in Russia
It makes me smile all the time
And one guy from Norway asked me "do you now what is internet ?" I almost died from laughing
So I guess people specially from western countries still do not know how world changed in the passed 20 years
P.S you can find me in Facebook by the nick of "poo Happens"

I did follow the link http://www.biker.lt/index.php/klubai and realized how little we know about LITHUANIA.
I was able to visit some of the Motorcycle web sites. You and your fellow riders sure did get my attention.
I don't know the language but did recognize "GALERIJA" ----- "PHOTO GALLERY".
Here I found a few links for the US guys to look at Lithuanian Motorcycle Clubs.

Well I think every country have biker's community smaller or bigger it doesn't matter, the important thing is that they exist
It's very good feeling then you ride in other country and the all passing by bikers lift their hands to greet you
It's like one big family
By the way last year in Klaipeda(city) we had "Harley-Davidson Super rally 2011" more than 10000 HD lover's came from all over world.
