R1200R Exhaust diameter?
Can anyone tell me the outside diameter of the factory cat outlet pipe or the inlet size on the muffler? I'm looking to put an Akrapovic muffler for an R1200R on my Rockster. I haven't seen anyone mention trying to mate a 1200 pipe onto an 1150. I absolutely love the look of the dual outlet on the Akra can which is why I'm curious.

Re: R1200R Exhaust diameter?
Hey Rockster,
I measured the inlet size on my R1200R muffler.
The diameter was 62mm (2.4409")across on the inside.
(Sorry it's metric. I'm in Japan)
1 mm is .03937 inches.
1 inch is 25.4 mm
Flange wall thickness was about 1 mm on each side.
Distance from outside wall to outside wall was 65mm.(2.5589")
That leaves 1 mm free play since it was removed from the bike.
Just enough to slip the can on, and tighten it up.
Hope that helps you, and hope it will fit.
Post a photo if you get the Akrapovic installed on your Rockster.
That's a sweet looking pipe! Sounds even better.
