Trigger signal for aux lightnning ?

HI folks, what is the best source of a switched signal for installing aux lights on an '07 R12R? Tail light? I've heard of a wire on the diagnostic plug to use. Any thoughts?

Yep, that works fine. I used a Posi-tap PTA-2224 on the green/blue wire at the diagnostic plug. I think it's the green/blue wire...I'm still in PJs and it's cold and I'm not going into the garage to remove the seat and look.

Did you consider the GPS wire under the tank on the right side, thats what most of us have used.
Cutting into the wiring could cause problems with warranty work if you have electrical problems, or the insurance company if you have a fire. Both remote possibilities, but using the GPS wire makes also for a neat job.

Do a search on GPS Wire and you'll find all kinds of information about using that wire for auxiliary stuff.
