The first bracket fits the 06-10 bikes; the second bracket fits the 2011 ones.
The '10 bikes were a facelift (other than the Camhead motor) - a modest restyling - of the 07-10 machines. When folks began buying new '11 bikes, many wanted a high windshield right away. They were told by many dealers that the new ("facelifted") bikes wouldn't take the earlier bikes' windshield bracket. Because the dealers were foregoing parts sales and the resultant profit, their "it won't fit" answer is likely true, or at least was thought by them to be true.

The 2011 machines have different front forks and instruments. Hence the headstock is different and requires modified screen mount. It takes the same screen(blade) as previous model.
I may have a complete touring screen to sell soon. Anyone interested?
