Has anyone put different handle bars on their R1200Rs?
Maybe something slightly wider is what I have in mind. Maybe some GS bars maybe Renthal of other aftermarket superbike bars.
Also what about after market steering dampers?

Wunderlich has some bars that might be what you're looking for.

Wunderlich's Touring Wellness bars are great. Have had them on 3 RR's and currently have them on my 07. They don't require risers, but move the hands up and back just enough for me to be comfortable all day long. They do require a slightly longer brake line, but that was a minor issue.

i have a Hyperpro steering damper on my bike and am happy with the way it performs. It has adjustment and I used the progressive damper, here in Australia it cost me the same as the OEM part. Gibbo

My original damper was broken in a off before I got my bike so I cant say, but I wanted a damper for it and as the cost was similar i went for the hyperpro. The mounting bracket isnt the most attractive part but it works ok. I am using it at just under the middle of the adjustment and the bike feels more stable at speed. If I still had the OEM on I wouldnt have changed it. Gibbo
