Some advice on crashbars please.

Does anybody have any experience with these crashbars, the sure look nice and not so "traffic-schoolish"

Not a fan of crash bars on my R1100R. If I were to go with a set I would go with the Hepco-Becker or the SW Motech

Certainly looking a lot better than the other bulky alternatives. However on the non-GS versions (R/RT/RS) these crashbars would considerably reduce your ground clearance and hence I would refrain from mounting any of that kind.

Both are cool looking and the H&B can be ordered from Wunderlich, wich would meen no toll and cheaper shipping.

All depends on your riding style. If you prefer the straight endless highways you'll probably never notice the difference. However if you like bending roads with many (speedy) curves every inch counts. In that case get yourself some of the plastic protectors available from BMW (and sometimes offered in the bay). Should you every have an accident the covers will get damaged anyway but you'll always find them cheap in the bay. All of the 1100 head covers as well as the 1150 covers (single and twin spark) fit the 1100 models.

I just mounted the 1150 twin spark covers on my old R1100R (see https://picasaweb.google.com/omg9500/VentildeckelNeu#). They fit bolt on. Plus some carbon protectors on the lower part of the covers.
