I also have an AAA account, but be aware that while you may have purchased bike towing insurance from your home club (AAA is an association of local motor clubs), whether you can actually get towing service on the road depends on the services provided (or not) by the local club in whose jurisdiction you break down. Not all local clubs offer or provide bike towing.

Very good to know this. Always wondered about the AAA network. Quick question, what would be the best way to ALWAYS have Motorcycle towing/assistance? Thanks.

I have Good Sam Club's roadside assistance. It is mostly associated with RVers, but they cover ALL of your vehicles in addition to your RV, including atvs and, especially interesting to us, motorcycles. It costs a tad more than my "top of the line" AAA membership (which supposedly covers my truck + slide-in camper) and motorcycles, but enough people have said what is said above about AAA--that it depends on where you breakdown if the local AAA will have the equipment.

I use one of these, the Slime Top Off mini compressor. Works great, very small, and cheap.
No sweating, either from manually pumping or from stressing about what to do if your plug doesn't hold and you've used up the Co2 cartridges...

I swapped out the cigarette plug for a SAE plug that connects into a SAE plug wired to the battery.
