First REAL post I guess.

Post by wolfy317 »

I've had an R1150R since July of last year. Mine is an 03, with 47k miles on it. I bought it at 36 I think. Anyway, I've been a bmw owner my entire riding career. My first bike ( I still have and ride it mind you) was a '71 R75/5, and I have to say that the R1150R actually does remind me of the old gal in some ways. I love it!

Anyway, Mine is pearl white in color, and I understand that that was not a factory offered color option, though it was painted with BMW's pearl white paint. I bought it with the black seat, but swapped for the tan :) Here are a couple of shots of it. Btw, does anyone know how to submit photos to the pic of the week/month/calender stuffs?

Thanks guys.

BTW, since I can't list it in the for sale section yet, I have a solo seat rear pan if anyone is interested toss me a pm.

Dang that's a nice looking bike! If I had seen white before the red, whew! Classy.

Mein Gott! That's classy.

So much for "if you've seen one, you've seen them all".

Yes, very cool pearl, and good seat color choice. Might call her "Carmella" for the (candy) color, remembering Tony Soprano's wife. Over all I prefer this design to any of the other RRs, early or late. Nice going!

Thanks guys. She's definitely a pretty one! It's the cee bailey screen. Not the best screen, but I haven't had one on it that seems to be just right, and I'm happy enough with it. I do think I'd like to get GS hand guards to put on her eventually. I'm tired of those knuckle busting rocks!
