Yet another introduction post

Post by UncleFat »

Hi everybody...

Yesterday I bought a 2000 r1100r. It's my second bike. I'm switching from an '03 Triumph Speedmaster. I really love the speedy, but the BMW will be a better all-round bike for me (realizing I'm not much of a 'cruiser guy'). Put 20 miles on it so far (home from the seller's house last night, and to work this morning), all in the rain. I can't wait to ride on some dry roads, but I'm in Oregon, so that might be a while off. Interesting thing: I was doing was doing some research before I bought it and found a few old reviews. Without exception, they mentioned how ugly it is and how odd it looks... I don't really understand that. It's a beautiful bike! Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it.

Hi Lance and welcome!

As you surely know, Taste is a very personal thing. Glad you like it. Have fun with this fine toy on 2 wheels.
