I don't know what they really are called...but it's the things that hold the rotors on...there are about 12 of them on each rotor...they center the rotor and keep it in place.... has a spring washer on it and a C clip holding them on....
They have worn....allot.. to a point where the rotors make noise...and are slopy ...the bike has 60K on it... is that normal wear ? I don't know of anyone else that has had to replace them... should I replace the whole unit ? or just the spring washer ? or the whole rotor and install new...locks (or whatever they are called)... the rotors look good...just the keepers are worn...and noisy.. both sides are worn...and loose...
Anyone else have this problem ?

Worn disk brake front rotor connectors...

Re: Worn disk brake front rotor connectors...
Your bike has so-called floating discs hence a slight horizontal play is normal. If you think anything needs to be changed then get yourself new washers - the rest does not need to be changed.

Re: Worn disk brake front rotor connectors...
Thanks.... and I just came in from checking....the spacers (washers) are not there...gone... probably wore out and fell out...creating the play and the noise...I will indeed go to the dealer and buy new washers....
Thanks

Re: Worn disk brake front rotor connectors...
What your bike should have is part 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 as per below image.

These parts cannot fall off because of wear. If something is missing it means some idiot has not properly mounted your discs.
