Fuel line quick disconnects

I just changed the one of the old plastic ones to a new metal one and now bike doesn't seem like getting enough gas. I have to keep idle on high or throttle up to keep running otherwise it shuts down after a couple seconds. It really has a hard tome starting...any thoughts...HELP.

Did you knock the throttle cable out of its seat?

NOT SURE, HOW WOULD I HAVE DONE THAT AND HOW WOULD I KNOW?

1) The quick disconect might not be fully engaged. There is a chck valve inside that is actvated when both halves are fully engaged. Separate the two halves, place a little lubricant on the o-ring an assemble until that release tab snaps.

2) Check the right throttle cable by the quick connects, it is suposed to fit inside an adjustable holder. It is not uncommon to pull it out of the holder while working on the quick connects and that will make the engine do what you are experiencing. Pull slightly upward and slide into the holder.

That worked! I just reset throtle cable in sleeve. THANKS!!!!

Proof positive that supporting this site is worth every penny. This would have been a $100 fix at my local BMW dealer.
