Selling a bike in California

Post by gezerbike »

Any knoweledgable souls out there that answer a question about Ca DMV regulations ? I have a buyer for my 2008 R 1200 R, which, per the emissions tag, is EPA and California compliant. The bike is currently reg in Illinois and has 6,700 miles or so. Is he going to have any issues registring the bike ?

No, I'm pretty sure that all bikes (or at least street bikes) imported into the United States have to be certified or 50 state compliant -

BMW's are compliant with CA emissions and for the rest of the U.S. too.
