Leaking at the oil filler cap?

My oil filler cap is actually loose. I can hear air escaping and a small amount of oil blows out. I replaced the cap o-ring, but no change. Next I plan on replacing the internal gasket on the oil fill access. This all happened shortly after I changed the oil for the first time (it's a used 1995 r1100r). Does anyone have this same experience? Suggestions?

change the in-tank fuel hose and new clips as well.

Thanks. Replacing the oil cap seat and its o ring took care of it.
