But I am Totally IN !

Is nudity Ok for the 2010 calendar ?
or are we talking about some kind of boring Anglo-protestantic
and Supra-Puritanistic project ?

I have to tell you that our "R" is German !
and its not like German's dislike anything that matter to nudity &/or beers...

Just wanted to mention this details, hoping it may help the overall openness
of our global creative brainstorm
Whatever "floats your boat" my friend. As far as I 'm concerned, be as adventurous as you like although I trust you'll not show anything too big to detract from the bike!

Sounds like a fun project. I'll send in some photos but would like more details on what you're looking for. Do you want to see any close-ups of the bike? How much background do you want? When do you need them? Maybe I finally have an excuse to buy a good DSLR camera.

I'm in California.

We now have enough for a Calendar , plus a front cover !
Meanwhile, here's the group of contributors so far. 13 riders, 5 countries around the world (can we get more I wonder?).

Question:

Shall we:

1. simply submit our favourite existing photo (quick and easy)
or
2. obtain a fresh set (4-6 photos) of the bike from different angles, so we see it from all sides. Suggest this is done at a place of interest (good backdrop). This means we can use the clever software (above), but will take longer to do.
or
3. Perhaps we should start with 1 (minimum hassle), and if we feel pleased with the result, then do 2.

Your thoughts?

How soon do you need the pictures? I am sure I could get something nice in the next couple of weeks. If so count me in (Canada) I am headed to BMW Summerfest at Mosport Raceway to watch the Canadian Superbike Races in two weeks. Who knows maybe there will be other R1200R owners there and I can get a group shot...

I think a number of us will be going to the BMW-MOA and RA national rallies.. and some photos from them might be good (perhaps of several member's R's in the same photo.. we could use that for the back cover and move Motorcycle_Girl to the inside fold..)

I agree. I think Motorcycle Girl should be on the inside. I also agree that group photos of owners meeting up at events also has a special significance so we will create a section for these at the rear of the calendar.

We have 15 contributors from 7 countries so far and more to come I am sure.

People have started sending input to my personal message board already so will make a start over the next few days.
I expect it will be easy to add photos to the main file in a couple of weeks after the National Rallies.
