Question on R1200R Tank / head ?

Hi All / Just updated to a R1200R built Nov 2008 / has a damaged tank and a used part supplier said that this late 2008 model had an updated tank / does anyone know if this is correct as they look the same to me to the 2006 model ? ( has there been any change to the design styling since 2006 / other than colours , also may need a another left cylinder head, may source used , if anyone has any comments on suitability of other 1200 parts fitting to the 1200R, appreciate any comments.

As far as I know nothing body wise has changed.
You can on occasion find body pastic parts on ebay. Leave it off and make a street fighter. Send in pictures and you can be our "Bad Boy"
I have thought about mixing some black platic in with my crystal grey.

Tank LOOKS the same to me , don't have an opinion on the heads but you could check the part numbers on a dealer site like Max BMW (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/fiche.asp) or Bobs BMW (http://store.bobsbmw.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=112) .
Here's a place I've used for used airhead parts and they're OK, I recently noticed they have Hexhead parts (some R1200R). Bobs also usually has a large inventory of late model parts. Usually you'll pay 1/2 of the list price for a part in very good condition.
