I have a 2004 Rockster with not luggage. I can not afford the BMW trunk so I was thinking about a Givi trunk.
What do I need to make the GIVI trunk fit onto my bike?
Please advise
Thanks

Dutch,
Here's a link to what you need: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/pr ... w/789/246/
I have a Givi case on my Rockster and I looks and works great. The case I have is the Traffic.

To fit luggage to the Rockster or R1150R you need, the side rails from BMW. These are both handholds for the passenger and the mounting points for either the BMW tail rack or the Givi mounting system. To mount a Givi trunk you can use a Givi mounting plate on the BMW tail rack or the Givi SR683 mount system, which is R1150R/Rockster specific. The Givi SR683 mount system would be a stronger mount because it contains two (2) arms, which extended from the rear of the rack to the side rail mounting points. Those arms will help to spread the load of the trunk to several points on the frame and not just on the side rails were the tail rack mounts. If you are buying the trunk to act as a passenger backrest I would only recommended the Givi mounting system not the Givi mounting plate on the BMW tail rack. This is because as the passenger leans back into the trunk the load is transferred towards the rear of the trunk with the Givi mounting system the arms will then transfer the load to the mounting points on the rear sub-frame and not to just the mounting points on the side rails. Here is a link to a picture that shows the Givi mounting system really well. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/pr ... w/789/246/ Good Luck and Enjoy.

You HAVE to get the BMW Sport Bag!!!!
Part # 71607694117 - Sport Bag (I would buy it from Chicago BMW - they have the best prices)
I LOVE MINE!!!! It is the best thing I bought for my bike. I have two touring System Cases with the extra large lids and I don't use them much anymore. The sport bag is awesome (heck, this weekend I put a torque wrench, oil wrench, socket wrench, oil filter, 5 quarts of oil, a full deluxe tool roll, extra gloves, a XL sweatshirt all in the bag and it swallowed all of it.
Here is a pick from bmwgear: http://www.bmw-riders-gear.com/BMWRA_pr ... &cs=1&pl=1
