I just saw an article about putting a Speedster Screen from R1150R onto the R850/1100R. I like the look of that. I didn't see an equivilent on parabellum's web site.
Does anyone know of a place to buy windshields other than paying BMW prices?
The article I am referring to is: http://www.ibmwr.org/r-tech/oilheads/sp ... reen.shtml
The windshield I am referring to is: http://hermys.bmw-riders-gear.com/BMWRA ... plo=&bphi=
Thanks.

Go to http://www.nationalcycle.com. They make quite a few screens for the 850/1100. I had one on my 850 a few years back. And I just bought their F-15 to "fit" onto my Rockster.
For example, this one is $114:

J.C. Whitney carries a lot of their stuff too, so you may be able to get it there at a discount.
National Cycle makes screens for some of the big guys out there. I know they make a Rockster screen that is sold only through BMW. They also make some of the Ztechnik screens.

Re: R1100R Windshield Options
I tried a National Cycles F-16 (from JC Whitney - good return policy) and did not like it. I liked the way it looked , but the screen was very flimsy and I did not like the mounting system. It just did not seem to fit very well.
I also tried the Givi A750 ( http://store.bobsbmw.com/index.asp?Page ... ProdID=258 ). It was a much better made screen and i liked it except there was too much reflection from the headlight on the inside of the screen. I could not adjust the screen back far enough to eliminate this, so I returned it as well.
The other one I was thinking about is the MRA Vario Touring Screen ( http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/pr ... /1865/300/ ).
I think I have pics at home of the F-16 & Givi on my R1100R if you want me to email them.

Parabellum do a Sport Screen for the R1100R.
It's under Sport Shields -BMW and it's on the second page.
I have one and I love it.
I'd post a link directly to it, but my AVS says thay have a virus...

I have a R1150/850R speedster screen on mr R1100R. Bought it off e-bay for £30. You don't see that many but I saw two within the space of two weeks on e-bay. Not only does it perform well but it looks great and has silver bracket arms to match the silver frame. I think they're about £90 from a BMW dealer. If you do buy one you'll have to source some M8 80-100mm bolts.

I'm 6' 1" with short legs. I have the tall one and can easily look over the top of it, by about 4 inches.aussybum wrote:Which height is yours? can give a review? i'm 5'10" and the website says the medium one suits me but i plan to get the tall one.the boring part is i got to buy the bmw brackets to support it.The Meromorph wrote:Parabellum do a Sport Screen for the R1100R.

I'd get the tall one if I were you.
It kinda shakes a little over about 100 mph, or in the turbulence zones behind semis on the freeway, but not overmuch and it's never come loose or broken.
The mounts are very adjustable, and you'll probably need to fiddle with it a few times until it's right for you...
I have mine as upright as it can go, now. You won't need that, so it will probably not shake even that much for you.
