Fuel Tank

Should the fuel tank on the R1200R have laquer on it, or is the 'R1200R' logo just stuck on the tank without being covered with clear laquer

I don't beleive it does. We had one disciple who took his decal off. I believe he said it was simple to do.

I have a black without stripes. Left it out in the sun for a while and the last R came off in one piece. (I didn't like it). Followed with a little WD-40 to get the remaining glue off. I think Don said that his Black (with the lovely stripes) has clear over the decal and stripes, so those won't be coming off too easily. The other colors -- I don't know.

....i don't think the stripes are the decals (stickers)....but the R1200R is definately a sticker. I am itching to take the originals off and redo them in red....should look nice....
