Heated suits

Post by mkmd555 »

Any advice on heated suits would be appreciated. I know this topic may have been covered.

But I want to know the current thinking.

Winter is around the corner :D

I have a 9 or 10 tear old Widder vest that's still working after several home repairs to failed connections. One just inside the vest and the rest at the 2 prong plugs. My first ride with it in cold weather was almost comparable to "discovering" women. It was THAT good!! You must take this step (the heated clothing!!) and I recommend the Gerbings brand. They're hotter and more reliable (the heated clothing!!).

I bought a heated jacket last winter and love it. Not sure what they have in terms of a suit or pants but I know the jacket I have has provisions to plug in gloves and heated pants. I looked at everything out there and felt this was the best for the money. The first time I wore it my first thought was "why didn't I buy this 5 years ago!"

I second the above on Gerbings and will add that the controller is a must for comfort. Make sure you go to the website and study the size chart as it is not an ordinary fit. The stuff is on Ebay all the time and Adv rider too , so be patient and you can save much $.
