That Darn Surge
So I bought a 2000 R1100RT (38k, bike now has 41k), 3 months ago, my first beemer. I did the major service to it. Was having the surge issue, followed a thread regarding surge fix here in the forums, and converted the bike to open loop. I am still having the same issue and it is driving me nukin futs. Can some one please offer me some advice on how to get rid of this problem once and for all.
Re: That Darn Surge
Can't offer a complete cure, but one of the fuel injection modifiers from Techlusion should be able to greatly reduce the surging. Expensive though.

Have you checked the synch between the throttle bodies? That's assuming you've already checked for induction leaks?
If so, next stop would be the throttle potentiometer setting.
Very helpful info on the procedure here from www.ibmr.org....
