2009 Alpine White R1200R

Post by RAPaoff »

Hi, My name is Richard and I am new to the board. Today I traded in my 2006 RT on a brand new 2009 Alpine White R1200R. It won't be made for a couple of months but the dealer gave me a grace period of 2500 miles on my/their RT. I live and ride in the Santa Fe, New Mexico area. I'll keep you posted.

Beautiful bike, you are going to love it.

I have a question for the committee: If the black ones are fast, and the black ones with white stripes are faster, wouldn't the all white ones be the fastest of 'em all? :-)

Regards,

Bill
(my 2008 R1200R is all black)

....at the risk of being called stupid......but isn't white a collection of all the colors in the spectrum?..and it will then be as slow as it is fast :p ....i may be completely off base here :-k 8-[

*drool* That is a very cool looking bike. Not as fast as crystal grey (doesn't have the go-fast flecks), but looks classy as hell.

Find a bud with an all black, park 'em in the grudge, drag out the flat screen/DVD and put on Roy Orbison's Black and White Night, grab your favorite beverage and turn up the volume, sit back and appreciate. Speed will simply not matter; slide past fast into COOL 8). Gorgeous bike!! I'm jealous.

That is sweet. I wonder how it would look with white powdercoated wheels. I'm going to find out this winter how mine is going to look with black powdercoated ones (my winter update for this year). That and a few little blackout touches for my all black (no pinstripes). :D

The white is very cool. Understated wickedness. Or a white knight, black knight thing.

Mine's all Black, 07, no stripes, still very fast.

If you black powdercoat you wheels, please post a picture, sounds cool.

Johnny the W,

Actually, I was thinking of having the wheels and the valve covers powder coated Alpine white. One way or the other I will post pictures when it is done.

The only problem with that I can see is the brake dust would make me nuttier than I am.. I think black to match the dust is how I'd go.. mebbe with a white stripe on the lip.
